Essentially you can lose but never too much or too long. I believe it was never lose nore than 120. Do not lose more than 110 2 years in a row. Do not lose more than 100 3 years in a row. I failed at this

Let's not blow this up. I just wanted ashes to update the Competetiveness rules thread with exactly what the current rules are going forward so there can be no doubts or confusion. Looks like the last update was 2008 and from what I'm hearing those rules were not enforced always? That's why I asked what the old rules were.....

longest MLB contract (and also the only one over 10 years) was Joey Votto...worth about 225 million with a team option. Thats
even if you half that for the lesser revenue's here, thats about 11 million per year.
Todd Helton signed an 11 year deal...in 2001, at 28, not 22....and it was worth 141 million. Over 10 per year..
now, we arent in the 70's/80's, where this actually may have been a thing.

He has a 22mil dollar contract....you can cut him pretty easily if he died during a PD.

What if styro offered all of his young studs
11 year deals at 2.2mil per....
And they all accepted his offers
that means he would have his core locked up on 11 year deals at 2.2mil per
You guys need to look at the full picture.
If a guy hits arby its fine to offer him a long term deal but if that guy is still in his first 3 years at 300k...there should be a limit on the type of extension that you can offer him.

so I'm going to offer all of my young studs long ass cheap deals and lets see how the league likes that if that all accept them
