I enjoy building a winner as much as I do winning. I've done both.
As far as the league being boring. Maybe. I like it because it's low key and for the most part I get along with everyone. The constant "key board tough guy" BS gets a little tiring for me when people do it. Trash talk is one thing. Others take it and make it far too personal. I have no time for that. As far as the trades go, yeah, there are definitely some guys who want to win every trade hands down and screw the other team as hard as possible. I try to avoid trading with those people.
People don't have to like me or how I trade. I don't really care. Feel free to give constructive criticism because I'm all for learning and improving. Just don't be a dick.
At the end of the day, it's just a game.
IMO youve been a great addition. I hope you stay. I dont think a league needs every member to post all the time everyday. I like a quarter of the league to just be present, export, and run their team well. Yea, completely agree with both; that's all that is necessary to make it worth it IMO. Compared to BBSBL, HOFFBL seems dead and boring for sure, but that is OK. It's meant to be low key with a dash of BBSBL (reward system). HOFFBL will never be like BBSBL; if I had meant it to be, well, I failed lol

Oh OK. I see that the league_news_box is HUGE when uncompressed ... if you keep the log files (42 MB), you should be able to delete all of the html files in the league_news_box folder, except power.html and report.html (that would save 58 MB). Thoughts?

Explain it to them in English please. delete all .html files in the folder, except power.html and report.html. If you do that, you save 100 MB, or 20 MB when compressed.

Explain it to them in English please. he did On my old copy (last sim) here, I got the zip file down to 6.39 MB, as compared to 27 MB. In addition to removing ALL .html files (except power.html and report.html), you need to delete all of the .bak files (those are created when the team histories are backed up when there is a change in league structure). In the main directory, you need to delete the "Camden" file (it is not even native to OOTP5) and the 2 xls files (they appear to be old rating export files which are no longer relevant). Hope this helps reduce upload/download times significantly.
