What makes us so shitty, out of curiosity? what have u or any of those gms done here? I haven't done much here. I also haven't been here that long. I've called up a lot of young talent and put up a trade list for others. Sorry if that doesn't meet your standard, whatever that is. Lol.
"We both know there are some shitty GMs there".
I've had issues with a few here and there. I suppose that depends on what you qualify as "shitty".

Some people don't really give a fuck and are just doing this for fun. They're not looking for a title like it's the greatest accomplishment of their life... Yeah, there is that, too.
I prefer the balance between the two. I love winning titles and try to win them. I'm also not structuring my life around this. It's a game.

The league is boring. I love Chris and hes a great commish but the league is dead. Its almost like a solo league. Guys only wanna trade their dead weight and only want rapes. Most of the guys are older and therefore slightly less interesting to converse with because they don't value message board banter. There are a handful of older Midwest types that are quite insufferable on their life views. I think about quitting constantly mostly because of these GMs. Its why I quit GABL originally. Chris has made HOFFBL more interesting than GABL ever was which is why Ive stayed as long as I have. I really dislike Matt. I think he is one of the mos obnoxious people Ive ever met online. Hes surpassed Jeremy as far as dislike goes and that says a ton.
As for HOFFBL GMs not trolling its more that they just arent active at all. I like interactions. Trade talks. Activity. Presence. BBS thrived because of it. IMO nothing will ever surpass how fun and entertaining it was.

Ill be honest. There were guys in BS that preferred NBN. But it was about preference. Im okay with you preferring NDSL or thinking it was more entertaining but check the numbers. BBSs 5 versions had insane activity levels and everyone in BBS considered it a top 2 league at worse.

IMO no league is great with a simmer that has a team. Its a conflict of interest. And losses credibility.

lol this shit aint fun unless u are winning I enjoy building a winner as much as I do winning. I've done both.
As far as the league being boring. Maybe. I like it because it's low key and for the most part I get along with everyone. The constant "key board tough guy" BS gets a little tiring for me when people do it. Trash talk is one thing. Others take it and make it far too personal. I have no time for that. As far as the trades go, yeah, there are definitely some guys who want to win every trade hands down and screw the other team as hard as possible. I try to avoid trading with those people.
People don't have to like me or how I trade. I don't really care. Feel free to give constructive criticism because I'm all for learning and improving. Just don't be a dick.
At the end of the day, it's just a game.

IMO youve been a great addition. I hope you stay. I dont think a league needs every member to post all the time everyday. I like a quarter of the league to just be present, export, and run their team well.

I still people undervalue the importance of rewarding activity. Activity equals presence. Presence means people are talking about the league.

This Texas team needs two things in order to win (well, three).
1. The walls need to come in. My OF is fast and defensively very good, but this stadium with the 483 food CF wall is a bit much. Not every OF is Willie Mays. 2. The young talent to work out. That remains to be seen. 3. Better pitching. This is somewhat a function of the cavernous ballpark. The rest of it is because our pitching isn't that good. It would also help if this team would get a game accomplishment here and there so I could claim some board cash. That's been a big issue this season. It's why I didn't reverse Aaron Nola.

Your ballpark is a joke. And ya, elite pitching is rare.

Jeremy always cops out with the 'if he can't be the Dodgers he doesn't want in' excuse. I honestly think he's scared of competition. He has these nice safe leagues in GABL and HOFFBL and knows he doesn't have to try because those leagues are so dead. Pretty lame.

NBN is trash lol not even close to ndsl. ok ndsl had 4 versions I think and all of them were extremely active as well. u were the only reason bbs was what it was tbh and yea everyone thinks there league is the best so that doesnt really prove anything. none of the good bbs gms went to the other leagues while most of the good gms from ndsl, etc came to bbs.

NDSL was special. Tons of lots of really good Gms loved that one best. I still think BBS was the best and it had the best GM quality IMO.
