New York Mets | Level 3 | 60 mil (60% of total construction cost) | To be paid from Stadium account bank |
The Mets have made headlines with the news they released early this morning. GM Danchevy announced that the New York Mets would be putting their stadium under major renovation this coming year with hopes of revitalization just in time for their new crop of young talent to move into a big league role.
The mets will be taking their stadium under what we would consider a level three renovation. This should in turn see a major rise in fan interest for the team with the bringing of a new up to date look to the exterior of the stadium, as well as a complete retro-fit of the interior. After the recently poor showing by this team, and with the new crop of young guns on their way up to the bigs in the coming years, this should help to bring back to life fan interest in the city after watching it drop to an all time low after last season.
The team announced that the total cost of the renovation would be 100 million with 60% or 60 million of that being paid from the teams stadium account, or hidden stash of money. While the gracious tax payers will from the oter 40% or 40 million in this deal to bring their home town teams stadium back to life.
Following this announcement, mets GM Danchevy continued on to say "the mets fans need to come back home and support their team as it grows, we have a promising group of young players that should really make a big impact this year and continuing into 2018. We need to revitalize the image of what it means to be a New York Met".
Ever since realignment in major league baseball the Yankees, the cities other team has had a strangle hold on a less then competitive division. Hopefully with the new fan support behind the team it will be exactly what they need to put a hard push towards overthrowing the yankees and seeing the teams first playoff birth in a long long time.
Players like the following are going to be some big names to look for in the future of this organization.
2 Lewin Diaz 20 C Good Good Brilliant
3 Timothy Harvey 25 3B Good Brilliant Brilliant
7 Maximilian Law 19 LF Good Brilliant Average
9 Mark Moore 23 1B Good Brilliant Average
Pitchers
# Name Age Role Hits Homers Walks K's

4 Micah Stubbs 23 SP Good Brilliant Brilliant Average
5 Collin Wiles 22 SP Good Good Brilliant Brilliant
6 Tyler Glasnow 23 SP Brilliant Average Good Good
8 Jason Hursh 25 SP Good Average Brilliant Good
With Harvey already in the big and many more to follow him you can see why people a looking at this team and finally saying they could become something. Only time will tell though.
Either way, with all that being said this is a rather large financial showing by the ownership of the Mets to show their fans that they want to get them back into the seats to support a team that they feel can start winning again.
