from the OOTP board about it...
"The game bases the mer. revenue off of the previous season, in this case there was no previous season hence the problem. BEFORE you proceed to the next season edit the mer. rev. to roughly the average of the other teams in the league and the next season the problem should be solved."

Erbes never edited the mer. revenue when he got the file so the Indians and every other team in the league will hover around whatever that they have now every season

BEFORE you proceed to the next season edit the mer. rev. to roughly the average of the other teams in the league and the next season the problem should be solved." Assuming the league average for MR is $10M, Cleveland has netted about $60M in cash over 3 years for having a combined record of 104-382 (.213%). The Giants in the same stretch are 312-174 (.641) and they have made $60M less. This has to change. Either set everyone's MR to $10M and let it progress from there or increase/decrease everyone's MR from $10M based on their 4/5 year win percentages. It might be too late to start this now since teams have built their rosters with certain revenue expectations but this needs to be fixed by next year if we are serious about rewarding well run franchises.
