Nomar Garciaparra should be way more developed he was ROTY in 1997! He's super underrated as he should be good good average not good average fair. Nomar was a top stud!

Meh i wouldn't judge based on stars. That system is flawed. His ratings are really good. going by overall ratings. Mussina is a 33 overall. I mean he was better than Steve Avery!! (35 overall) Atlanta was the first team I looked at because I wanted to see how good pitchers were rated. Mussina was probably the #6 or #7 pitcher of the whole decade of the 90s. Maddux , Clemens, Johnson, Pedro, glavine, ?? Mussina is prolly next.

WOW Roger Clemens is super-underrated. What formula do we use to figure in steroid usage? Besides, his good ratings will all make him pretty decent, IMO

OF ratings. I currently have 5 CF and no corner OF. I don't think Dave Justice was ever a B range CF with a 1.000 F%, but I'll keep him that way if that's how it works! Yeah the file was weird and made every outfielder a centerfielder. Let me know where you want to move guys and I'll do it. I had no interest in going through everyone and switching them.

Mussina wasn't a 2.5 star pitcher. He was one of the best pitchers in the game. Come on Jah you know better than to use the star system...

Only hit over 30 HRs in two seasons. I know he had a ton of injuries, but he was never classified as a power hitter. And the dude never walked. Like ever. He only had 35 in his ROTY season.

WOW Roger Clemens is super-underrated. Right where he should be. He's 33 and on the decline. With those ratings he'll still put up sub 3.25 ERAs for a couple more years... I hope lulzzzz

He was a plus power hitter, which should be rated good. I get the fair walks, because he tended to swing at first pitches too often.

I also should have said this first... I want to keep ratings in check as much as possible. You'll notice there aren't a ton of 'brilliant' ratings out there. I was a hard judge on every player. If they were borderline I bumped them down, not up.

also I think I should have more people in my prospect system. If I'm not mistaken Carl Pavano was a top prospect for the sox in 96?

I'm also being a huge pain, but I noticed that a bunch of relievers are given unfair 1's and 2's in walks. Relievers are more likely to walk guys intentionally or pitch around than starters, hence the higher BB/9

jaha David Cone was a monster in the 90's too bro! Yes he was...prolly #7 of the decade. But he was in his last few years in 96. Just saying Mussina is better than Steve Avery and Charles Nagy and such. He should at least be 6 6 instead of 5 5. And he was a many time gold glover so he should prolly be an A there.

Don't think Erbes worried about D so that's certainly a legitimate gripe. Mussina looks like a 6 in hits vs lefties but only 5 vs righties.
