if you are gonna make 70 million, you have 50, you can trade that 50 all you want, that 70 million is still gonna overrun stadium funds are useful some teams never use them

why, you wanna keep a guy 30+, pay him what he wants or let him walk, guys are allowed to walk all the time right now at 30+, no issue there, you never see guys in the 20's in FA. (Ackley is probably the best of the last few years.) So star players at 30 or 31 should only get a 2nd? No.

bad GMS also give out 20 million dollar contracts when they could gamble in FA.
you can pretty much always replace an old fuck with an old fuck in FA

Krod is the best pitcher, given Styro doesnt resign him, does he deserve compensation for a 34 year old going into FA?
no
in real life, you are forced to give a guy 10 million by one year, to designate you are serious about signing them, your system says, whatever the team that gets him offers, thats the designation, what if he takes less, we have seen 5+ less taken over more serious offers, do you deserve less compensation because he took a smaller offer? why does that decide his worth

Yeah this will probably never happen. Way too complicated of a rule to try to implement.

not really that is why a lot of teams run into salary problems because they are dumb GMs?
