Let's talk about them. Once we get 3-4 good ideas on how to solve them, we'll vote. Insert joke about ignoring polls here. Alright glad we got that over with.
I'll kick this off with idea of implementing a lottery and doing it like the NBA does it.
I also like the idea of setting stricter roster rules.
Thoughts?
If we can figure this out quickly then I'm sure we could put into practice for next season.

If we stray too far from traditional baseball rules we will lose any possibility of recruiting in the future.

I say 120 losses means a drop of 3 spots. Essentially lose, just dont lose a lot.

120 is too many losses. Its historically bad. If youre that bad, you arent trying. If you arent trying you get penalized 3 spots.

I understand the idea to make interesting or revolutionary rules, but the farther we get away from traditional MLB rules the harder time well have recruiting. Its a real thing.

I dont have definitive proof that some future GM wont like BBSBL because of its rules. I do know that we have enough going against us to kill the interest of very good long time OOTP GMs. I know that most long time OOTP Gms are older and more traditional in general. It follows that those Gms might join if we stick more to traditional rules and ideas especially when the alternative isn't a great idea. Realignment to non traditional or non geographic divisions and a draft lotto are pretty drastic changes in areas where other things can be more realistic fixes.
