Teams will no longer be able to offer 1 year deals in free agency in excess of $9 million or contract extensions in excess of $13 million.
For example, you could offer a deal of 1 yr x $9M, but not 1 yr x $10M in free agency.
If you offer one of these deals in free agency and the player signs, the following punishment will occur: - The player goes back into free agency. - You will lose the amount of money you signed him for from your in-game cash bank. - If you do not have enough your next 1st round draft pick will be forfeited.
