Well, since the draft positions aren’t going to be finalized until after the playoffs I will just do 16-30 without teams. For the most part gms really should just take BPA because the draftees are years away and nobody knows what players they will have or what pds can do to their plans.

D duration makes it unlikely that he will be a starter but he should be a very good reliever. All good teams have solid relievers so I see no reason to take a chance on a mediocre looking player when you can get somebody who will probably be able to contribute in the future. He keeps the ball on the ground and has 3/5 Brilliants. Somebody might even try to make him into a starter though I wouldn’t try it personally.

Draft is really up in the air at this point. I would take Sierra at this point but I’m sure that you could go lots of different ways. Sierra is a great defensive RF with a cannon for an arm. Brilliant doubles and C/C spd/st so he could be a threat on the bases.

Will probably end up in CF somewhere. A solid defensive outfielder but no arm. Can be made into a very good basestealer. He will likely be no more than an average hitter without pd help but you never know. Does the little things well, he can bunt for a hit and lay down a sac bunt.
19. Chris Carter 1B
Age: 17
Ratings: A/A/P/G/A/O
Gets drafted here for his hr potential. Really doesn’t bring much to the table besides that. Whatever balls he gets to he will scoop up. Can barely run and he is altogether average offensively but who doesn’t love to watch baseballs fly out of stadiums?
20. Logan Morrison 1B
Age: 17
Ratings: A/G/F/A/G/A
Good defensively but doesn’t look like he will have the pop you would like out of a 1B. No speed and can’t bunt. Still, he does have G in walks and doubles so a tia and a positive pd could make him a desired player. Also can play LF which never hurts.

Ratings: G/G/A/G/A
Looks solid enough. Not an overpowering pitcher but still should be a solid end of the rotation guy if he develops according to his talent. He has a wide assortment of pitches although I’m not really sure how important that is.
22. Clay Buchholz SP
Age: 20
Ratings: G/G /G/A/A
Another starter who looks like an end of the rotation pitcher. Great fielder. Won’t stay in the game too long. Taking a starter does seem to be a bit of a crapshoot because the most important thing 5 years from now will be who had a good pd and who had a bad one.
23. Yunel Escobar SS
Age: 21
Ratings: G/G/P/F/A/G
He is a decent hitter with no pop. If he could steal then a TIA to his walks would make him valuable but he can’t . Also not a great defensive player.
24. Antonio Bastardo MR
Age: 19
Ratings: B/G/G/A/B
Umm, buddy you should change your name. “Hi, I am A. Bastardo” just doesn’t sound good. Really not a big fan of the guys left. He has C duration so maybe he can turn into a starter. If that happens his value goes through the roof but even if it doesn’t he should be a very solid reliever.

I like the flexibility as he can play 2b/ss/3b. Of course he doesn’t play them well so that is meh. Poor range and below avg fielding %. I like the Brilliant doubles. He is hard to strike out but can’t lay down a bunt or still a base. His starting ratings are on the high side so there is hope that he will get to the big leagues sooner rather than later but the question is what he will do there.
26. Jeremy Hellickson SP

Another in the bunch of almost indistinguishable SPs. End of the rotation guy. Good defensively and can bunt. Yay. What I always wanted in a pitcher.
27. Marco Estrada
Age: 21
Ratings: G/A/A/G/G
Ummm, I’m really running out of things to say about these pitchers. Needs a good pd. He is loyal but chokes in the clutch. I would take my second rounder last year over the guys left tbh so I don’t know who was talking about depth but he should stop.
28. Gaby Sanchez
Age: 21
Ratings: A/G/P/A/A/G
At worst he will be a late inning defensive replacement. Some pd luck and he could be a starter. Maybe he can learn to play another position or 2. Needs a positive PD in hits or hrs and a tia to become a starter.
29. Tommy Hanson SP
Age: 18
Ratings: G/A/A/A/G
Very close between him and Garcia for the last to spots. If Hanson pds into a pitcher at least he has the duration to make some money for his gm. That was pretty much the deciding factor even though it seems that Garcia’s stuff might be a tad better than Hanson’s.
30. Jaime Garcia SP
Age: 18
Ratings: A/A/G/G/G
Solid velocity. Decent looking talent ratings but a ton of guys in the minors look just as good but never get out of the minors.
