Since the bidding process was a complete and utter failure, we're going to move towards a blind bidding process.
Blind Bidding Process Steps: 1. Post the player you would like to sign on the Free Agents board. Just name and position. No money total. This will be the only way I know you bid on a player so it's a must to post. 2. PM the account 'freeagents' with your bid. You get one bid per free agent so make it count. 3. The team with the highest bid before the next sim will be rewarded the player.
- Bids will close before the start of the next sim. - In the event of a tie, the player will sign with the team that has the best record.
Stipulations: - To resign the player you must pay him 80% of the total contract paid during bid process for at least two years per year. Example: Derek Jeter is signed for $10 million in 1996. To resign him his next contract must be at least $8 million per year for at least 2 years. - The player cannot be cut after being signed for the rest of the season. - He cannot be traded for the rest of the season.

pay 80% of the bid price...as his annual salary for at least 2 seasons? or his total contract extension value must be at least 80% of the initial bid price?

Your total bids at any one time can not be greater than your "available money left for FAs" Just like in the normal FA period.

Only thing you didnt mention was how long does the blind bid last, because you said the next sim but does the mean i can bid 30 minutes before the sim, start a thread, pm the bid and still win him 29 minutes later and get him that sim?

Lol I guess I have to be a super honest Abe about this too. Either that or I'm never signing an in-season FA.

I think this will be the only time this will ever be this "competitive" because there are relatively good free agents compared to the average major league player. After this first slew of signings, I doubt we'll even need to do blind bids again.

Either that or I'm never signing an in-season FA. its way, make the password available after the sim, then everybody can check it, change the password next time somebody comes available, if you send the last bid and it happens to beat everybody, that's fishy, so you gotta be early
