Each GM will have to manage their front office in addition to managing their teams. You can view your financial situation by going to your team's front office screen.
Everyone is responsible for having higher revenue, cash, and cash rewards combined than the amount of payroll for each season. Failure to do so will result in negative cash flow.
If a GM loses more money in a season than he has in his cash reserve, he will move into debt and will be placed on probation.
During this 1 year probation you may not sign players for any more than a minor league contract. You may not offer contract extensions. You may not complete trades that result in an increase of payroll. You lose the right to make a draft list for the last 6 rounds(the cpu will make your picks).
No ifs, ands, or buts about probation. Once on probation, you stay on it the whole season.
Continually being on probation year after year may possibly result in termination.
Please keep an eye on your ticket prices. You really want to use this to maximize your profit. Raising your prices too high and too fast can cost you money.
Promotional days are an important way to increase your attendance. Use these wisely.
