There isn't penalties when a team moves there "star" in real life. Why cripple a team for trading their franchise player? That's not something exciting for new GM's

There isn't penalties when a team moves there "star" in real life. Why cripple a team for trading their franchise player? That's not something exciting for new GM's There kinda is. If Yankees didn't resign Jeter in 2010 there would have been a riot. Also it's more tied to the fact that if you want to protect a player for 15 years from getting a PD then there needs to be a downside. You can't just protect someone for 6 years and then trade them. What's the cost of those 6 years (or whatever the length of time)? The answer: those penalties. |
