there is just no reason for a trade this awful to be put through when the guy had one post as Gm in the league prior to making the deal

I think Erbes already made it clear that it will go through.

How can you say my deal was worse? I gave up significantly less, and got a good deal more back...

you got beat up, only cause Cruz was a bit inflated, since he was a converted reliever. with more durability he is sick, but Manny is amazing

That is what I am saying, it would take significantly less to happen for me to win my deal than Cincinnati to win this deal...

How can you say my deal was worse? I gave up significantly less, and got a good deal more back... Look at my man D-Rowe here. Break trades him Mike Stanley and then he ships Stanley to Erbes, which of course upset Break a lot. But D-Rowe didn't let friendships get in the way of him doing business, so props to him for that, even if Break makes you buy him something later in return.

Maybe this is the result of him failing to re-sign Belle? That would be interesting to know.

Threatening to quit if a trade isn't vetoed is also pretty immature and underhanded. Forcing a commissioners hand like that is not good play. who said I was quitting? I simply stated that my interest level took a dive. I said I will do my lineups. I never said I was quitting.

Reminds me of trades in the GABL...new guy comes in and makes horrible trade, everyone complains, one guy posts forever about how he's actually the one getting hosed in the deal (even though he's getting by far the top 3 pieces in a deal), more people complain, and yet it still goes through.
I do hold the honor of being the only guy with a vetoed trade in the history of the league though! Haha!
By Toronto adding these pieces, along with the young guys he already has, the picks other than next years are more than likely going to be late round picks, making this deal look even worse. Not to mention what CC is going to turn into once Erbes gets done editing the draft class.

Teams get stacked, then GM's quit. It's ridiiculous. We really need to have some maturity and integrity here.

We really need to have some maturity and integrity here. Agreed. Probably the 4th very questionable trade to happen? Adding the #1 pick (more than likely CC) to Carpenter and Halladay...with Helton as the backbone of the offense?

Did Cincy ever give a reason to why he would trade the #1 pick in the draft if he is rebuilding?

Wishing I didn't rebuild now, this totally will screw me, no one will be able to beat Toronto for a while now
