This has been a fun thing to read through. Happy to see the deal go through. I understand I'm losing CC but I feel like in the long run after all the drafts and such it will be good in my favor. CC takes one bad pd and he loses the deal, while if two of the 4 guys I draft take good pd's I win for sure. Anyways we will see. Will get back to a few teams regarding deals in a few hours here definately have some other interest on my team, lookin forwards to a really strong rebuild.

You gave up far more than CC. Everett and Anderson are not scrubs at all... mehh I can't believe this is going through.....Toronto gets the top 3 pieces in this deal and Cincy gets fucking scrubs. Houston will turn it around and win the central...I'm 100% sure of it. I absolutely just lost all interest in this league...I'll do my lineups but thats about it.

there is no way this should go through right off the bat...the guy never made an attempt to shop the pick, if this kind of deal goes through within the first 10 hours of the GM even being hired? thats a horrible precedent, you cant veto shit now, awful

i'm with play, my interest immediately takes a dive. Seems like cincy was gonna keep negotiating a deal till he got the biggest passable rape he could get away with.

Marlon Anderson, a middle infielder who avoids strikeouts with good contact, nice fielding, and isnt below average in anything but triples...already has 5 hits too, hes a great prospect...Gonzalez sucks, Vernon took a big hit with that fair in hits, nowhere near Marlon as a prospect, Everett is Good Good Good GOod Good in the categories that matter, thats sick, so yeah, you give up 1, 2, 3 in value, considering the draft the Houston pick at 10 has WAYYYYYYY less value than Everett and Anderson, and get back 4, 5, (legitimate at least), then a mediocre 6 , with the addition being a shit Gonzalez and 2 seconds?

Erbes, you cannot for the league allow this type of thing, at all, it doesnt matter whether the reasonings seem sound, you can make bs quite easy to cover stories, and in the end, you have two GM's from the same general area making a quick rape within hours of the second GM being hired, a trade that he loses in every single aspect, and makes no sense whatsoever for his team, before he even has 12 hours in the league. You cant in the future hold anything in question once this goes through

he HAS to shop that shit around for a while before he trades that, you just cant offer up that package to the first bidder, this deal makes 0 sense, all he points to is what, if two guys take good PD's I win? I have like 10 shit prospects I could send, enough good PD's and you would win that too

yea, it's bs. "I'll let this go trhough but i'll be stricter in the future" shit is dumb as fuck. How you gonna not allow this in the future but process this?

I was never a fan of one guy having power to veto or not veto trades. Therefore I've created a committee of people to help me decide on sketchy trades. The Committee: Erbes, Nanz, Steve, Spencer, Jah - Obviously, not all trades will come under scrutiny, only the worst ones. - I'll never make the vote public. Nobody will know who voted for what. - If any member of the committee is involved in the trade then I will ask someone else. - This will mostly be used to prevent collusion and new guys getting raped. I think all five of us are pretty reasonable, know the ratings well, and know that there has to be a certain price to pay for each player. Read more: bbsblthree.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=212#ixzz2KiGKZGGPits pretty clear this needs to go to the Veto committee, not even a question

to be fair, he hasn't followed that in any trades i don't think. Did he summon the committee for the manny deal?

I understand some people might not like this deal, or may be adversed to it. May they want the pick, maybe they are jealous. Maybe they don't see my reasoning for it. It works for me, and I still feel like I'm the end I will come out in top. In 4 seasons when I field a team it will be very strong and this is the start of that team.
I looked over this so called manny deal that everyone continue to talk about, and in my opinion Cleveland's gm was massacred, not sure why the issue with especially this rework when that trade had very little controversy.

YOu just lost the best three pieces in this trade, two pretty much ready now guys with good to great potential, and then the top overall in a pick that goes 1 deep....you got back a few mediocre seconds, a maybe top 10 pick (in a mediocre to shit draft), and a future first from what will be a loaded team once this deal goes through. Only one of the players you get back is good, and that doesnt touch the two players you give up...you get more chances to get lucky, that was your reasoning, and that makes 0 sense as a new gm coming into the league, there is 0 doubt you coulda grabbed more than this with just the number one had you been patient and actually shopped around...instead, your second post as a GM was this trade....

lol @ him using like the most extreme pd sequence of events to justify himself doing the deal You obviously did not read it by the way. They are separate, if he takes a bad pd I win the deal hard. Even if he stays as he is, and I get one or two good pd's on of the picks the. I win it. The deal still works for me either way. But thanks for all the input, in a few seasons here we will see who is laughing and complaining when I win my division.

Not gonna fight with you or anyone anymore. I don't think I need to justify it to another gm in the league. Maybe the commish if he wanted to but I talked to him already. So thank you for your input. But I will keep on my path with this team.
