another big lol for trying to keep salaries at real exact. I'm 23rd in payroll, so stfu and don't insinuate I have a high salary just to get your point across. just be happy you milked your inflated market size and revenues this long and were able to bid 30m+ on ichiro, sucks you overbid by like 15m just to lowball his salary by like 5m

the file wasnt finished when team selections were taking place, you coulda asked if market sizes were getting fixed, since they were so far off, which would have made sense since he was fixing rosters from scratch...but instead you throw a fit about the fact that you took a team based off of a WIP file, and now the market is getting reset? lol Who starts a league with a WIP file? I joined as simming was starting. There were a few teams left, none of which I was a big fan of, so I chose the one with the big market.

You had the lowest salary in the league, one that NEEDED to get pointed out if we were going with a real-life salary structure. It's wrong for a team to get stuck with at $15 mill payroll while some teams get to spend $90 mill or more. That's why MLB instituted revenue sharing, to keep that stuff from happening anymore, but apparently we're going back to the old broken MLB model where you won't be able to afford anyone making more than the league minimum. Sorry for doing a little research to try to help your team.

And I think I already explained the strategy behind my Ichiro bid. If I could use my current extra cash while saving on future expenses, he was worth it to me. If he required a large contract on top of a big initial cash expenditure, he wasn't. I had cash to burn now, but not later, so why not put in a bid like I did?

Cincy. Let me shut you the fuck up right now. I'm Colorado in Longballer. I took a team, that generated about 35 million in revenue a year, and have boosted it to making 60 million after 4 years, and made an NLCS appearance last year with a 102 win team that had a 48 million dollar payroll. It's not that hard.

Yes, 40-60 mill is easily doable. If that's the direction we go, that's fine. Am I the only one who has actually looked at late 90's payrolls? Going for something resembling reality won't put teams at 35 mill hoping for 60 if they can start winning. It puts teams at 15-20 hoping they can hit 30 mill. That's a completely different situation. You're comparing apples and oranges here.

Jesus christ. Realistic doesn't mean fucking people with 15 million dollar payrolls. It just means setting the market to what the market is like in real life. You're going to make more than 15 of tv revenue alone every year.

It's pretty obvious that the market sizes are going to be realistic. Sorry Cinci.

It's cool. I'm the team that gets hurt the most by it, so you can't blame me for trying. So long as no teams are truly screwed over by this, it won't hurt the league.
