lol no. position thing just effects trade value. and E/D range isnt good at 2B/SS same hitting #s with 50-60 steals>> except A/B results in under a 75% stealing percentage, which means the steals are hurting the team, not helping.....

IRL, run expectancy w/ a runner on first and no out is .94. no on and one out run expectancy is .29. runner on second and no out is 1.17. runner on first with one out = .56. no one w/ two out = .112. runner on 2nd with one out = .72

obviously not sure what the breakeven point is here. id actually guess since pitching is so good here that a 70% sb rate is a net positive, though not by very much at all

Aar did you see that article about pitch framing and what it means for runs? Like each strike is worth .21 runs or something? Can't remember pretty interesting stuff. Yankees were #1 overall in the category - pretty much the only reason I read it. Need to find it.

I saw that last year, pretty crazy really Doumit sucks at it montero was just as bad, (ignoring the batting he was terrible already)

Catchers get ignored a ton when it comes to UZR and all the defense stats.

Need to find it. yup. www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=22934jeff sullivan also did a thing recently on umps blowing calls right over the plate. there were only a couple but it was obvious the ump made the call bc the catcher had to adjust to the pitch
