As of now the fa list looks nice but as time passes more and more pitchers will probably get signed and the list will thin out considerably. Anybody 35+ is not on the 15 man list and is listed separately. 3s plz

The best pitcher in the game. Play doesn’t want to pay him and doesn’t want to trade him. In spite of Play’s claims to the contrary there is close to zero chance that Play will let him walk. Every other gm in the game hopes that Play follows through with his threat and does. On the open market he will probably get a ridiculous 2 year offer from somebody hoping to sign him on a better contract a couple years down the road. Not only does he help you win but he makes a ton of money which is a big bonus for whoever signs him. He has been top 4 in era for the past 6 years and this year will be no different. Also constantly in the league leaders in wins, ks, sho, cgs. He really does it all.

Styro took a risk trading for him at this point because he could be left holding the bag if Escobar walks. Not really sure why Game didn’t just start Escobar until he signed and then put him in the pen. Or maybe calling him a reliever would have helped. In any case a lot of gms are looking forward to seeing Escobar in fa. Not elite like Wood, he can still be a very good starter and win a ton of games for the right team.

Age and D duration keep him behind Escobar, even though his stats are favorable to Escobar’s. His era has been under 3 the last 4 years, though that streak will probably be broken this year. Going to be 32 and expensive to sign in fa so he probably won’t have that many suitors in fa but he will definitely get paid.

Not the guy you want anchoring your staff but a very good pitcher nonetheless. He will have a good era and keep his team in games. Don’t love the D duration and asking for more than 6-7 innings a start is a stretch. He does a great job keeping the ball in the park and not handing out free passes. He made the all star team in 2002 and 2003.

Not the stud that he was, except in Bosoxi’s mind. The truth is that he was pitching very well before he got knocked out for the season. Will Erbes’s cough up the 12-13 mil necessary to resign him? That will probably depend on what happens with the other pitchers on this list. If a few of them hit fa then Erbes might let him go but if they all resign then Erbes will probably bite the bullet and pay. Van poppel’s era has been yo yoing for the past few years and he isn’t getting younger so caveat emptor.

Broph said last year that he wouldn’t pay more than 7 mil for a reliever so maybe he will let Macdougal go. Macdougal has been nothing short of dominant this year with an era of under 1. He has converted on 28/29 save opportunities. He doesn’t overpower hitters and his duration of E is less than ideal but he keeps the ball on the ground and gets the job done.

You see his ratings and expect better stats. His era this year is the lowest since his rookie year and it has been going down for the past 4 years so maybe he has finally started palying up to his ratings. The question is how much money will gms risk on a pitcher who has had 5 straight years of an era over 4?
