At least 3-5 pictures with captions should be necessary for an article to get a 5, for one. Sophisticated questions are also essential. For interviews and roundtables, the answers need to look thought out, instead of vague bullshit due to laziness. In other words, when I read an interview/roundtable, I want concrete answers with specific details included. Dodging questions also should not be allowed. If a specific question is asked, a specific answer must be given in order for the whole interview/roundtable to get a 5. Content and thought of subject matter are always the most important factor. I think you can earn a 1 with one paragraph. 5 considered based on length of paragraphs and actual content. No team related articles considered 5. Photos are of course beneficial, but not a key ingredient. It's all about the detail and whether or not you provoke thought. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

In order to get a 5, you gotta put in work and effort and people need to see it. Finding pictures and writing captions is just one example of noticeable effort. I've spent over 4 hours doing some of the articles I've written here.
I didn't want my writing to look like a 5 each time. I wanted to literally blow everyone away and have everyone consider my work a 10 out of 5. That's why I'd work my ass off with everything I did. If some people don't want to vote just because of the bias bullshit, then that's their problem. But when you see excellence in writing, proper respect is due.

this could get interesting. As much as guys whine and fight in this league (finger pointed at me with boston) I can see the future MOD picking apart an article that is actually of quality and starting a fight. Maybe not and we end up with a great system. To be honest I think you should just have a committee of 3 owners that can be impartial (impossible being that we are humans) that can vote on articles that way it does not rest on you commish or the mod to police this.

I would love to see articles judged purely on quality and not all just bias for or against others.

Pictures have no bearing on if an article should be a 4 or a 5... My point is they make the article more enjoyable to read more often than not. They are not the main contents of whether an article should be a 4 or 5, but I think of pictures as like extra bonus points on a test, if you can recognize my analogy there.

i mean if you spend a solid amount of time doing an article you should get a 5... we know shitty ones like breaks but like interviews take so fucking long to do they should be 5s no doubt

And they were all 5's except for the interview I did with Stutter's lazy ass. No comment...
