1. How do you respond to attacks by some of the coolest GMs in BBSBL that you only win because your huge market allows you to take on guys who produce on big contracts? Smart strategy, or an option you're lucky to have?
-Obviously Im lucky to have a larger market. It helps. Money helps. But Ive also raised my revenue nearly 20 million because Ive made a commitment to winning.
Year Wins Losses PCT Pos Attendance Revenue Payroll Profit/Loss

Ya. I lose money but I trade for cash. I seek out teams that are tanking and have cash to burn and I go get it. I trade for older players that are cheaper because everyone is fascinated with youth. I wanna win. I don't care what people think about how I do it. Shit, even after a couple PDs I'm thinking I should tank and rebuild but it doesnt make sense because no one wants my older studs. SO fuck it Ill reload and go for it again.
2. Predict your win totals the next three seasons. How many division titles? Rings?
[/b]I think Ill still win between 95-100 the next 2 seasons. 3rd season might be tough unless I can come up with something soon. I think Ill win the next 2 division titles and 1 more WS. I do need to get some more pen help and another younger bat. Might need to deal Huff to get it. I do think Huff and maybe Jackson or my 2 04 1sts will be enough to grab me an older type bat to plug in at 1B. 1B is my only real weakness going forward. The rest of my lineup is young enough to be good for 3-4 seasons.
3. Thoughts on the expansion draft? Did it go smoothly (lololol)? Which team did the worst job protecting their players? Who did a better job?
It didn't go smoothly. Its a pretty complex thing and it isn't supported by the game. Jeff did the best he could and I'm sure he'd do it differently if he could do it over again. Pretty happy its over. KC did the worst job. Misunderstanding or not losing someone like Nannini is unreal. hes a top tier prospect. Complete waste to leave him off your list. If you arent sure about a rule, ask questions. Dont just assume. As for the best, me. I was prepared for this expansion draft. I consolidated my assets. I made sure my most valuable guys were covered, I left salary off my list so if I did get hit itd be salary relief. Win win. Id be surprised if Rogers had success anywhere else.
4. Where would you have taken Curtis Granderson in this draft?
Probably 4. I think hes the 3rd best hitter behind Joey Votto and Prince Fielder. Cant pass on Cain with that B in HITS. Granderson with a TIA to hits is a top hitting spect with amazing D and speed? Crazy stuff. Hitters are so rare this guy could be special if hes developed properly. No brainer #4.
5. TIAs and IRIs can really change a player. I'm guilty of paying for guys as though I'm dealing for the player they'll be after I RC them. Do you do that? How do you factor in potential rewards in dealing for a player?
I do this too. Its part of the game. You have to look ahead and project what theyll be. A guy one G away from being a stud is a stud for active GMs. I also really shy away from guys that have already had a PD reversed. I give them much less value. PD reversals are probably even bigger to me then TIAs. IRIs are very important too. To IRI someone above talent ratings is very important to m as well. Extra production FTW.
6. Give me one team that needs to deal for Jim Pittsley, and tell me what it'd cost them.
Nice question. Every team needs him. Lets look at MIL though. Steve has been horrible. He needs big time talent very badly. I really want Angel Pagan. We could work something out if he added.
How about....
#28 Angel "Crazy Horse" Pagan, Centerfield, 20 yrs, Milwaukee Brewers
#13 Walter Hungerford, Closer, 25 yrs, Milwaukee Brewers
#67 Chad Gaudin, Starting Pitcher, 18 yrs, Milwaukee Brewers
2004 2nd Round Pick
2004 3rd Round Pick
Probably selling him short but I like real life Giants!
7. Two players, both maxed out on RCs and otherwise identical, have the following offensive ratings:
A/B/G/B/G/A
G/G/G/G/G/G
Who do you prefer and why?
A/B/G/B/G/A
G/G/G/G/G/G
Who do you prefer and why?
Id probably take the BRILL 2B and HR guy. A guy with 10-12 in 2Bs and HRs is nasty. I dont like AVG in Ks but to get 50+ HRs and 2Bs is soo good. Very valuable. Gs across the board are nice but not special. A B/B guy like that is an MVP candidate.
8. Of the following two pitchers, who do you prefer and why:
Pitcher 1: G/A/G/G/B, A duration, durable, great clutch performance, very consistent, very loyal, great leader
Pitcher 2: B/G/G/B/B, D duration, normal injury, normal clutch, inconsistent, not loyal, no leadership
Pitcher 2: B/G/G/B/B, D duration, normal injury, normal clutch, inconsistent, not loyal, no leadership
Pitcher 1. I love Ps with the best possible WALK and HR ratings. To me they are the most important ratings for a P. But in this case the other things dont make up for a slight talent bump. A duration, loyal and durable are huge. Love pitcher 2 but picher 1 gets the nod.
9. Of the following two players, who do you prefer and why:
Player 1: Catcher. G/G/F/G/G/G. B defense, .99 field pct. Everything else normal.
Player 2: 1B. G/G/F/B/B/A. E defense, .95 field pct.
Player 1: Catcher. G/G/F/G/G/G. B defense, .99 field pct. Everything else normal.
Player 2: 1B. G/G/F/B/B/A. E defense, .95 field pct.
Player 1. C's are so hard to get. To have that D and those G talents is amazing. Looks like Buster Posey to me. Hard to pass up on a B/B hitter but catchers are rare. Its pretty close though cant really go wrong.
10. IRL time. Give me the number and dollar amount Tim Lincecum and Hunter Pence deserve this offseason, and predict where they end up.
Meh. I think theyll both end up in SF. I think Pence will sign for like 4 yrs 48 million. Timmy I think well come back for like 2 years 25 million. Hard questions but hopegully we can resign both these guys and then spend Zitos money on a LF. Tea is a mess right now.
