Too many teams tank. Not enough GMs in it to get better and improve. I think we need to explore ideas to make winning more valuable to GMs.

Maybe in game cash or board cash for 500 + seasons? Or extra PDs. Something. I feel like so many teams are just sitting piling up youngsters.

It's like either you are completely in it to win it or you are doing a big rebuild and keeping all future talent in the minors. That's the thing with sim leagues...the game mechanics of rebuilding and all that are too easy to take advantage of.

Thats why its important to try and even it out some. Good leagues dont allow GMs to exploit the flaws of the sim. I think we need to work towards making some changes.
No way that any fans would show up for a home game when the team has lost 300 games over the previous 3 years. Revenue would be almost nill.

The way that draft picks are valued in OOTP is unbelievably higher than in reality. I for one think draft picks are a little overrated.

I suggested a reverse draft order of some sort for teams finishing in bottom 5 or whatever number we decide, so the shittiest team does not automatically get the #1 overall pick, and I was severely dissed for that idea.....so you all figure it out!

Id rather think of more realistic ideas to improve this though. Decreasing revenue or fan support for consecutive losing seasons. Increasing for winning seasons. Freebie player PDs for winning. Etc.

Rewards need to be revamped and incentivize running a successful franchise. Winning the World Series and fostering MVP caliber players should have the biggest payouts along w chaining together playoff appearances and .500 win seasons. It makes no sense that writing a 5 star article currently nets you more board cash than winning the WS or that smashing the worst record in baseball history lacks a single repercussion.

I also think certain career milestones should lead to some board cash.

I can understand tanking for Lebron or a player that's as can't miss as ever, but in these leagues, the PD BAT is always around the corner, so if you draft a kid, he has several years exposed to the PD BAT, which could simply set your club back even longer.
Tanking in OOTP is pointless.

I couldnt do what Cleveland, and to a lesser extent San Diego are doing, I kept signing mediocre guys in FA just to at least look decent...just happened to luck into two top five picks because because 60 wins was what that ended up being
right now, you could win 20 20 20 20 61 20 20 20 20 61 with no repercussions, thats wrong
