missing revenue might also explain why this league is in a never-ending drought for in game cash Wow I never even thought about that

The other thing about restarting (if we do it) is determining a set number of teams to start with. This league currently has 24 teams but some people here have already stated they will not continue with a restart if it were to happen. So then 20 teams might make more sense, but the most recent real life year in which just 20 teams existed was 1976 because the Jays and Mariners entered in 1977.
This is not an instant process but it's good to start brainstorming.

Jays or bust for me if we restart
Although it's a bummer to restart really like the direction of my team
That being said we need to put a poll up now and make a decision right away by Saturday and get it done if we choose to restart. Don't want to waste more time then I already have this offseason like spence said

Coming from someone who has never run an OOTP league, and has no idea how much time commitment is involved behind the scenes in running one, the restart or not answer seems pretty easy to me.
Can the problems be fixed without a complete league reboot?
If yes then don't restart. But back up the league at it's current date and test run sims until the problems are resolved. Then apply the fix to the current league date and we move on. You can't keep running official sims while the league is broken.
If no then do restart. I've been in OOTP5 leagues since that version was released, so I get where the "if you restart the league I'm out" owners are coming from. That said, what I don't get is anyone wanting to move forward with a broken league that can't be fixed in its current state. If a restart is truly needed and what's best for the league, and an owner will quit because of it, then is that an owner you really want in the league anyway?
I'll stick around no matter which is decided. If restarted my choice would be to start any time in the 70s or 80s.

Are exports going to work? Neither mine nor Spencer's did this last sim.

yes exports will work
I say we run through this season quickly while we set up the new one. It'll give us a distraction instead of another break.

I would create a new file and start around the 60s or a time period around then. Sim ahead 20-30 seasons to create a database/history then back it up. Simply another 20 seasons to make sure you don't run into any issues, take note on things like financial data and unusual stats.
