Wait what? Why wouldn't we use our standings? because we were supposed to have an inseason draft, and it would fuck over GMs that traded for 1996 picks believing they would be based off the 1995 standings

such as Play who got the Marlins 1996 first, which he woulda believed to be the 9th overall pick,
Reds got the 1996 first from San Fran, though he seemed to claim he didnt recognize that it was supposed to be the 7th overall
actually, it really just fucks over play, thats why

will hurt me slighly too, as i should have the 21st overall from colorado and if we use this seaons standings i will wind up with at best probably the 24th from him, kinda lame.

to keep it fair, it should be done off the 1996 standings and draft order as this is what everyone traded based on and such.
Just my OPINION

Wait what? Why wouldn't we use our standings? because there was an idea i believe in everyone mind that we would have a draft this year, thus the trades that were made for pick were mainly based on where the 1995 standing had those picks placed. So going back on that now will make for a lot of those trades to be re valued and unfortuantely more then likely favor one team or the other greatly.

Just my OPINION I seem to be the only one who didn't think it was based off last year's standings, and that was just because I had never really heard of a sim league actually doing a draft in the middle of a season (not that it's a bad idea). I have no problem using last year's standings for the draft. It actually benefits me as far as my traded picks go.

I didn't even hint at it. In short, we'll be using the standings that we create.

why would anyone think we were using last years standings if the draft wasn't happening during the normal time?

why would anyone think we were using last years standings if the draft wasn't happening during the normal time? Only reason I thought we would be using the 1995 standings was originally this draft was said by erbes that it was going to happen mid season and thus there was a rush to get a draft list done. But it's fine not a big deal and like someone said this is the only time we will have this isse hopefully.

Quasi-Gripe: Looks like Rich Loiselle is missing too, should we add him to the draft or Astros?

I don't like this. I don't have a first rounder until 1999 now? That's a ripoff.

is there a consensus for this? Are we using 1996 standings (ongoing) for the 1997 draft order?
