Probably should wait on this. In my opinion SD is safe from dropping. He should have been grandfathered in under the old rules which were 5 seasons of 100+ losses and that's it.

If the Padres end up getting the 1st pick, then this trade should get voided. I'd only do this for the #1 pick and not for #2.

Grandfathered in doesn't undo the fact that he lost 120 in one season. It's in the rules. It doesn't matter what else he did previously the rules came into play this year and he broke the 1 year rule. It's logic...
