Confirmed. Hate seeing Galarragga go. He's been a rock for me, but McGwire's potential at Coors Field was something I couldn't turn down. And I get a better catcher out of it. Thanks!

Please put McGwire in Galarragga's spots in all lineups and depth charts and please do the same with Hatteberg against RHP lineup and depth charts.

Am I the only one who would rather have Galaragga? In my opinion, Galarragga is a better overall hitter because he will get on base a lot and is just a great pure hitter, but the problem with him is that he's turning 37 very soon and I don't know how much longer he will be able to contribute, and with his contract up after 99, he'll probably ask for a lot more than the $8.6 mill I was paying him. I loved having the Big Cat on my squad. He's been a force since this league began, and was a huge reason why my lineup has been awesome, but again, McGwire at Coors Field was I couldn't turn down. Furthermore, McGwire is already signed through 2002, so I'm set at first base for a very long time. Also, even though Galarragga is hitting a lot better than McGwire right now (.326 to .259), Galaragga won't walk much and McGwire obviously will, so I won't even be losing much in OBP.

Funny how this trade talk all started over Hatteberg...

9 homers in first 2 months for him...I don't think 70 is within reach. I'll take 40 tho any time.

Galarraga's contract is why I like him more. Yes, he's almost 37 and doesn't have much left...but Big Mac is signed for longer and a bigger contract. With the way OOTP treats old guys in most cases, both guys will be nearly useless by the end of their contracts and you won't want to resign either. Here's to hoping Mac is still worth 10 mil in the next couple of seasons!

Hmm I didn't realize Mac was 34. The game does like to kill people around age 35. Hopefully he keeps it.

Getting out of Macs contract was a big key to making this work. Now I have much more freedom to do other things.
