This was prior to the 2002 Season...

1. Let's start with the basics. Where are you all from? What do you do for a living? What other hobbies do you have? And how did you find out about this league in the first place?
- I am from South Jersey...right in Bellmawr...just outside of Philly. It takes me 5 minutes to get to the Walt Whitman Bridge...not even. I work at a grocery market...work on average around 45 hours, and I'm getting back to College...already finished a year at county school.
My main hobby is playing in an Adult Hockey league...I play on a surface called Dek...we've won four of the past six championships. I play Center for our squad. The best sports team I've ever been apart of. I also play Indoor Soccer with a bunch of the guys I played High School ball with...
I believe Spence recruited me from SLOR...so you guys should be thanking him for bringing in a good GM!
2. Has your time in BBSBL been a lot of fun? Are there any changes you would suggest that could make this league better for everyone?
- At first, the league was way too quick for me. It was a serious adjustment for me, but I have adjusted, and now it's been fun. Plus, I hated the team I inherited, so that sucked initially.
Not really...I prefer Erbes to do the draft classes regardless, though...the last 2 drafts have lacked depth because he wasn't doing them. Another thing I'd potentially change...an article moderator...I think Broph is doing a fine job, but we have way too many bitches that whine about any little thing, and it seems like it's not really working for a good portion of the league. I'd rather him keep the job, but it seems like it's not worth it for him to continue to do it when people get pissed, and argue what they should have gotten.
I was also never a fan of that competitiveness rule...if teams want to tank, then let them tank...No matter what, rebuilding is tough, (especially when you tank for a few years) and when you hit rock bottom as an organization...it's tough to bring up your fan interest, and have a majority of your prospects to pan out.
3. Are you enjoying the players of the early 2000s to play with and manage? Are you looking forward to the fake players being used in the near future?
- It is enjoyable...I mean, it really doesn't matter to me all that much. I don't put too much onus on one player...if they are good, and even if I hate them in real life, that won't stop me from making a deal for them or trading them for no reason...ugh, Stutter? Remember that shitty trade of Sabathia...? You didn't like him, so then you dealt him for a bag of balls? Case n point!
Yeah, I'll be looking forward to the fake players because the draft classes will have a ton of mystery to it. We won't know what to totally expect.
4. how do you feel about the market size of teams, merchandise revenue and all the other financial intricacies of OOTP for BBSBL? Does anything in particular need to be done about this, or is everything fine as is?
- I honestly don't give a shit...I just do what I'm capable of doing for my market...I mean, it doesn't really matter, y'know? Okay, I lied. The financial aspect is vitally important...gotta work within your Market...which are different for each team. You want to make sure you're staying within your budget...and making money for each season (if you can)...just make sure you don't go in the negatives...Okay, most of you guys know this, but someone apparently doesn't. Oh, that's right, he's interviewing me!
Not really...we don't really have to change anything.
5. Let's talk about our division: the NL Central. Cubbies have been one of the best teams in the entire league since 1998. Astros have stuck around after their peak, but are currently going through a change in ownership. Reds, Cardinals and Pirates, all three of those teams seem to be rebuilding for the future. How many more years will the Cubs dominate the division? Which team between the Reds, Cardinals and Pirates will be the first to eventually take down the Cubbies?
- The Cubs probably got this division on lock down for the next 2 seasons...no matter what, they will always be in contention for the division with that core group that they have.
Well, the Reds are WAY behind...they have such a long way to go, and I'm still not convinced that they have the GM to pull off such a HUGE rebuild process. They will lose for awhile. The Cardinals have a few really ELITE arms, and Corey Patterson...that's about it, though. His hitting isn't good enough...My team has clearly the best shot to take down the Cubs...got the arms, got the bats...Prior/Affeldt/Hamels/Priddy/Biddle is very good...Cantu/Utley/Han-Ram/Marte/Guillen/Gerut/ is a helluva core...once we develop, then we'll be battling for the Cubs for years to come.
6. With Crazy Mike about to take over the Astros next season, any advice for him? Do you think the Astros are better off competing or rebuilding at this point? Do you think he will be a good fit here?
- I have no advice...I don't want him to do well. They have some good arms, but they need to rebuild. Their offense is very old...to me, a quick rebuild plan is the way to go. They need to get younger in the field.
As long as he keeps posting his babe of the day, then yeah, he'll be a great fit here!
7. Crazy Mike will be replacing Chris (CSC5782), who recently resigned, due to running a new league and being busy in general. What will be your lasting memories of Chris and his time running the Astros? Was he a good and productive GM here?
- A good, smart GM...he was really good. Plus, I loved some of the articles he produced. Some really interesting INFO that we probably can't replace. He's had a 90+ win team throughout his tenure...I think that says it all.
8. Will Play and the Cubs actually go all the way for once? Or will the 92-year World Series curse on the North Side of Chicago extend for another season?
- One would think. I love his team, but the Playoffs are such a crapshoot, man...He will win a title...He has to with those stud arms, and the bats he now has. I just don't have a clue when that exactly will be.
9. Has anyone noticed Spencer regularly conversing with himself? Is that a sign of old age or a cry for help?
- I think everybody noticed...what kind of question is this!? Anyway, Spence is fine. He might be getting up there, but he's knows what he is doing...
10. Erbes recently offered up switching organizations but not rosters. Real or bullshit, would anyone be willing to move to the AL, if yes, why?
- Real...I think he's getting bored. Erbes is a good GM, and being the Yankees is too easy for him. I just don't know if anyone is going to switch rosters, though. Or at least the one he wants...He wants my team, but I didn't oblige.
I wouldn't move to the AL, either...I don't want to pay a DH!
